Slow Burn (2025)

Slow Burn was composed for the Lakeland Union High School Band, William Richter, director. Slow Burn uses a 12-bar blues form to explore various 16th note rhythms in a funky groove that grows from soft to strong. Written for a Grade 9-12 band with a variety of experience levels, this piece has challenging 1st parts, while keeping 2nd and 3rd parts more accessible.
