Determined Hearts was composed for the Middlesex Concert Band for their 50th Anniversary. Determined Hearts was composed for the Middlesex Concert Band in celebration 50th Anniversary. The piece was inspired by a past event in the ensemble’s history. Specifically, there was a fire where the organization lost both music and percussion equipment and almost didn’t recover. However, the perseverance and dedication of the membership brought the ensemble back to become a thriving musical community. Making purchases directly from this site benefits the composer the most.
